Saadiyat island cultural district

Saadiyat is a natural island located 500 meters off the coast of Abu Dhabi
Occupying 27 square kilometers, the entire project is due for completion by 2020 and is created around an envi-ronmentally sensitive philosophy with a special low-density master plan. A premier island destination as well as a modern, integrated residential community, Saa-diyat will eventually be home to an estimated 160,000 residents with a full complement of leisure and tourism facilities, as well as civic and cultural institutions.

Alive with inspiration, the Cultural District will be a shining light on the international arts and culture horizon. With its blend of global art and stunning architectural icons, Saadiyat Cultural District will fuel the imagination, foster interaction, and encourage people of all backgrounds to embrace a common bond of creativity. Indeed, it will be the only place in the world to house architecture de-signed by five individual Pritzker Prize winners.
